Questions & Answers

Diving FAQ

The questions every diver asks before their first descent — answered honestly by our instructors.

Do I need experience or a diving licence?+

No. Every trip starts with a comprehensive briefing covering breathing, underwater signs and equipment, and a certified instructor stays beside you throughout. Complete beginners dive safely with us every day — and certified divers get their logbooks signed and stamped.

How deep will I go and how long is a dive?+

The morning dive is a gentle introduction at 5–8 metres for about 15–25 minutes. In the afternoon, once you're comfortable, we descend to 12–13 metres. Depths are always matched to your comfort and ability.

Can non-divers join the boat trip?+

Yes — friends and family are welcome to book as visitors at a reduced rate. They enjoy the full boat day: sun deck, swimming, snorkelling from the boat and lunch on board while you dive.

Is scuba diving safe for me? Any health restrictions?+

Diving is not suitable during pregnancy or with serious heart, asthma or respiratory conditions. Please also plan not to fly within 24 hours after your last dive. If you're unsure, message us — we'll advise honestly.

What should I bring, and how do I pay?+

Just swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and sunglasses — we provide all diving equipment. You reserve online for free and pay on the day of the tour, in cash or by card.

Can I wear glasses or contact lenses while diving?+

Contact lenses work fine under a standard mask — just keep your eyes closed if you ever clear your mask. Glasses can't be worn under a mask; if your eyesight is very poor, tell us in advance and we'll advise on options.

Will I see fish? What lives down there?+

Yes — the eastern Mediterranean is home to sea bream, damselfish, wrasse, groupers, octopus and moray eels, and on the Side Underwater Museum dive you'll even hand-feed exotic fish beside your instructor.

What if I panic underwater?+

Your instructor stays within arm's reach for the entire dive and you learn the hand signals before entering the water. You can end any dive at any moment — comfort first, always. Most nervous guests relax within the first minutes.

Is lunch really included? What about drinks?+

A freshly prepared lunch on board is included on every trip. Drinks are extra and available on the boat — bring a little cash for those.

Do you pick up from any hotel?+

We collect from hotels across the region of each dive base — Side, Kumköy, Kemer, Antalya and Alanya areas. Enter your hotel while booking and we'll confirm your pickup.
